Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
- Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health conditions.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health status to the appropriate personnel.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
- Ensure a safe and clean living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
Skills
- Experience in hospice care or home care is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Empathy and patience when dealing with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Basic knowledge of medication administration protocols.
- A valid driver's licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
